FAQ and Troubleshooting:

It didn’t work. Can you help?

Your cell phone may not be capable of receiving multimedia files from a text message. The ringtone formats being offered on oceanalliance.org are mp3 (for most phones) and m4r (for iPhones). Contact your wireless carrier for further assistance.

Are all phones able to download new ringtones?

Most newer cell phones can accept ringtones. Some older cell phones or cell phones without data capability may not be able to accept the ringtone. We suggest that you contact your wireless carrier to confirm that your cell phone is capable of converting an mp3 file to a ringtone.

Why does the Ocean Alliance ringtone sound better on some phones?

The sound quality of the ringtone should be good in most cell phone devices. Your cell phone device may convert the file to a different format, in which case the quality of the ringtone can vary.

Is there a charge for the Ocean Alliance ringtone?

Ocean Alliance is offering the ringtone file free of charge. However, your donations are greatly appreciated!
