QUESTIONS & RESOURCES - BOOKS

Among Whales. Roger Payne, 1995. Dell Books (Paperback). 431pp.
Roger Payne's book on whales, emphasizing their behavior, and written so non-scientists can also understand it. It expands on many of the points raised in this website.

Recently named a "Hero of the Planet" by Time magazine, Sylvia Earle now comes together with her friend and under-the-sea colleague, Ellen Prager, to provide readers with an in-depth exploration and study of aqua-science, or what is happening under the surface of the seas.

Biology of Marine Mammals. Reynolds and Rommel (Eds.). 1999. Melbourne Univ. Press. P.O. Box 278, Carlton South, Victoria 3053, Australia. 578 pp.

An excellent and very readable account of the history, flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands.

The Deep Sea. Bruce Robison and Judith Connor. 1993. 80pp. Published by Monterey Bay Aquarium. Monterey, CA.
An excellent introduction to Earth's final frontier.
